He was dressed in the full robe of honour, a black Rusafi turban, a torque and two swords. A jewelled crown was placed on his head, and two bannered flags were displayed for him. The letter of investiture and titulature was read out, and he was enjoined to fear God and to rule his subjects with justice. He was presented with a dark bay horse with a gold saddle.
