Amid this austerity nothing requiring reproach issued from his wives except once, as human nature requires, so God sent down the verse of choice, [[passage/quran-33-28|al-Ahzab 28]] and [[passage/quran-33-29|al-Ahzab 29]]: \"if you desire the life of this world and its adornment, come — I will provide for you and release you in a fair release; but if you desire God and His Messenger and the Abode of the Hereafter, God has prepared for the good-doers among you a great reward\" {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p. 478; tanzil-quran}.
