The claimants of the blood, who are entitled to it by their oath, swear fifty oaths divided according to their shares of inheritance of the blood-money. If the oaths leave fractions when divided among them, one looks to whom the larger share of those oaths falls, and that oath is completed by him. Malik said: if the victim has no heirs but women, they swear and take the blood-money. If he has only one heir, that man swears fifty oaths and takes the blood-money.
