     "markdown": "Mulla Hasan Celebi al-Fanari, a Hanafi. He taught at the Hilaliyya college in Edirne and wore coarse clothing and rode no mount, out of humility. He associated with the Sufis. Sultan Muhammad Khan did not like him, because he had written glosses on al-Taluwih in the name of Bayezid during his father's lifetime. He asked permission to go to Egypt to read \"Mughni al-Labib\" with a Moroccan man he had heard of there who knew the book thoroughly, and the sultan allowed him, saying that the man's mind must be unbalanced. He entered Egypt, copied the book in full, read it to the Moroccan with careful verification, and wrote the Moroccan a licence in his own hand. He also read Sahih al-Bukhari with some students of Ibn Hajar. Then he performed the pilgrimage and sent the book to the sultan. When the sultan examined it his displeasure was removed, and he gave him the college of Azanik, then one of the eighth colleges, and assigned him eighty dirhams each day. He lived in Bursa until he died. His glosses on al-Mutawwal and his commentary on al-Mawaqif and al-Taluwih are accepted and in circulation.\n\nHe died around 879 AH {cite:shadharat-dhahab p. 324-325}."
