     "markdown": "On the night before the battle he asked the Prophet: \"Is this a place God caused you to alight, which we may neither advance beyond nor fall back from, or is it opinion, war and stratagem?\" When the Prophet said that it was opinion, war and stratagem, he advised lodging the army at the water nearest the enemy, filling in the wells beyond it, and building a basin to drink from, so that none could drink from beyond it {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p.211}.\n\nThe Prophet took his advice. The Muslims camped at the water and cut Quraysh off from it, since Quraysh had camped on the far bank behind the dune {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p.211}."
