     "markdown": "His brother Hisham ibn Subaba had been killed by mistake during the expedition against Banu al-Mustaliq, when a man of the Muslims took him for an enemy. Miqyas came to Medina outwardly professing Islam and took the blood-money of a hundred camels. Then he sprang upon his brother's killer and slew him, mounted his riding-camel, and rode to Mecca, where he apostatized, reciting verses in which he boasted of his killing {cite:ibn-hisham-saqqa 4/52}.\n\nOn the day Mecca was conquered, the Prophet declared his blood forfeit. A man of his own people, Numayla ibn Abdullah, saw him between al-Safa and al-Marwa and killed him {cite:ibn-hisham-saqqa 4/53}."
