In her own published statement of 30 June 2019 she announced that she was disassociating from acting because the work interfered with her religion and faith — in the headline words of the reporting, 'my relationship with my religion was threatened' — and in November 2020 she asked fans to take down her pictures as she began a new chapter in her life. That statement is a personal attestation of Islam acted upon at real cost, preserved here in full; it names no school, and nothing in it is read further than it goes. Wikidata gives only Islam. The English article's category filing of her among Indian Sunni Muslims is a filing, not an attestation, and was not counted; her Kashmiri Muslim family is background.",

Her 2019 retirement statement is recorded as reported by India Today and The Hindu (PTI) within the English biography. Identity: the queue line's bearer is the Srinagar-born former actress (born 2000) of Dangal and Secret Superstar. Existence checks by name fragments (zaira, wasim) and by QID across data/person on origin/main found no prior record for her. The queue's year (2000, living) is confirmed to the day. Relations written: none — Srinagar has no place entity, and her parents hold no records. Living-person care: only well-sourced public facts are recorded; her faith entry rests on her own published statement and reads it no further than it goes.",
