Its delegation came in 9 AH: sixty men, twenty-four of them nobles, led by al-Aqib, al-Sayyid and the bishop {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p.450}. The Prophet made peace with them on terms of the jizya, under the protection of God and His Messenger, with full freedom in their religion. Islam began to spread among them after that {cite:mubarakpuri-raheeq p.451}."
